Knitting Shortrows: Wrap And Turn

Learn the basic technique for knitting short rows. Alexis Winslow explains what short rows are used for, and shows you the steps for "Wrap and Turn" (also listed below)

How to wrap a stitch before turning for a short row:
(These steps work with any stitch pattern, on the right or wrong side of the work)
STEP 1: Slip the next stitch to the right needle without working it.
STEP 2: Move the working yarn to the opposite side of the work between the tips of the needles.
STEP 3: Slip the unworked stitch on the right needle, back to the left needle.
STEP 4: Move the yarn back into working position (if it isn't already)

Now, you are ready to Turn the work to create your short row.
