From the Winter 2011 issue of Knitscene Magazine, "The Next Big Thing" featured collection

The Canyon fingerless mitts feature bold stripes and colorwork patterns that were inspired by the beautiful patterns on Navajo rugs.  The gloves are knitted in the round from the bottom up, and partially from two charts. The difference in sizes is achieved by adjusting the gauge.
